Drawn to the light
With regular night dives in the Great Barrier Reef, the local predators have learned to use divers flashlights to identify and snap up prey. Here a Giant Trevally swoops in under the light of our dive torch.
Giant Sea Fan - Great Barrier Reef
This gorgonian soft coral was enormous and made for a wonderful shot through its branches. Gorgonians have evolved to maximise the surface area they expose to sunlight so that their symbiotic algae can photosynthesise and provide them with energy to grow and live.
Turtle Connection - Great Barrier Reef
Diving with my brother Craig, we were lucky enough to spend a good 15 minutes with a pair of extremely docile Green Turtles. A beautiful place to share a beautiful experience.
Green Turtle - Great Barrier Reef
This beautiful Green Turtle was very happy for us to float and watch him as he chowed down on algae growing on patches of dead coral.
